Featured in this set:
Countess Cadogan: These heirloom Sweet Pea seeds produce oodles of beautiful violet/ blue bicoloured flowers. They are strongly scented and vigorous for its type. This unique heirloom variety was first raised by Henry Eckford and released in 1899.
Lady Grisel Hamilton: Raised by Henry Eckford and released in 1898, this stunning heirloom variety produces a profusion of lavender toned flowers with a sweet scent. Each stem usually holds three, sometimes four blooms per stem. The standards often look “hooded”; a characteristic often seen in Old Fashioned varieties.
Painted Lady: These gorgeous blooms were first recorded in 1752. Producing a very sweetly scented pink and white bicolour. A wonderful blast from the past, this heirloom variety is acknowledged as the first Sweet Pea 'sport'.
Dorothy Eckford: Raised by Henry Eckford and released in 1901, Dorothy was named for one of his daughters. This bloom carries many white sweetly scented flowers. It is a strong grower and blooms freely.
King Edward VII: This heirloom variety has deservedly stood the test of time. Raised by Henry Eckford and released in 1903, it bears appealing deep red blooms on strong stems, for its type. For a wonderous combination, try combining with pink and cream shades.
Mrs Collier: This highly recommended variety produces gorgeous cream blooms that are smothered in scent. These blooms were first raised in 1907 by Dobbie & Co. They have been named for the wife of a Dobbie’s employer at their Mark’s Tey seed farm.
